Arrest of subject who sold women abroad
(Baonghean.vn) - On July 20, the Investigation Police Agency of Tuong Duong District Police prosecuted and temporarily detained Kha Thi Phuong (born in 1986), residing in Luong Minh Commune, Tuong Duong District, for human trafficking, and rescued 2 victims.
Previously, through the work of grasping the local situation, Tuong Duong District Police discovered a suspected human trafficking ring that had previously occurred in Mai Son Commune, Tuong Duong District with sophisticated and cunning methods and tricks.
Faced with that situation, Tuong Duong District Police reported to the provincial police leaders to establish a special project to fight and clarify.
During the investigation, the police determined that Kha Thi Phuong participated in a human trafficking ring abroad. Accordingly, Phuong colluded with a number of subjects abroad to lure workers in Tuong Duong district to work abroad with the promise of "easy work, high salary" but in reality, forced them to become wives of foreign men.
With the above tricks, in August 2016, Kha Thi Phuong lured and enticed two women residing in Mai Son commune, Tuong Duong district to sell them abroad for an amount equivalent to 350 million VND.
At the police station, Kha Thi Phuong confessed all her crimes.
The case is being expanded for investigation and handling according to the provisions of law.
