Arrest of Laotian subject illegally buying and selling drugs with firearms

On April 22, 2020, Tuong Duong District Police (Nghe An) successfully broke up a drug trafficking case, arrested Vu Chong Nhenh (born in 1971), residing in Ban Nguoi, Muong Pet District, Xieng Khouang Province (Laos) for illegal drug trafficking; seized 01 heroin cake, 1,800 pink pills and many firearms.

Recently, in Luong Minh commune, Tuong Duong district, a Mong (Lao) person has appeared, colluding with subjects with criminal records for illegal drug trading, use, and possession in Luong Minh commune and surrounding areas to form a drug trafficking ring. Faced with the above situation, the district police have established a special project to fight and destroy it.
During the investigation, the Task Force determined that during the drug trafficking process, the subjects were all equipped with firearms, had strict guarding, and chose rugged mountainous terrain. The activities of the subjects were very aggressive and reckless, ready to fight back fiercely when discovered and captured. Therefore, to combat and eradicate this criminal ring, the Task Force needed to mobilize many forces, synchronously use new professional measures to ensure success and safety for the fighting forces.
After a period of monitoring, the Task Force received information that on April 21, the subjects would deliver the goods at Pu Lom hill, Dua village, Luong Minh commune, so they arranged an ambush force.
At around 11 p.m. the same day, the police discovered Vu Chong Nhenh in the Pu Lom hill area, so they knocked him down and used an AK gun to shoot into the air to threaten the guards.
During the arrest, due to the rugged mountainous terrain and the fierce resistance of the subject, both the scout and the subject rolled down the stream. However, with the spirit of attacking and suppressing crime to the end, the police force successfully controlled and arrested the subject, ensuring absolute safety, seizing 01 heroin cake, 1,800 hong phien pills, 01 military gun, 4 bullets, 01 homemade cassava gun, 01 small scale, 2 knives.
At the Investigation Police Agency of Tuong Duong District Police, Vu Chong Nhenh initially confessed to his crime. Currently, Tuong Duong District Police are focusing on continuing to expand the investigation and arrest the remaining subjects in the case./.
