Arrested subject carrying 2 kg of crystal meth hiding in acquaintance's house

Hoang Mai town police, Nghe An province said: The unit has just successfully discovered a drug case, initially arrested 1 subject, and seized 2 kg of crystal meth.

Previously, through the work of grasping the local situation, the Hoang Mai town police, Nghe An province discovered a number of subjects in the town participating in the network.transnational drug traffickingfrom Laos to Nghe An, then transferred to the southern provinces for consumption. Among them, the subject Tran Quang Tai (born in 1991), residing in Thinh My block, Quynh Thien ward, Hoang Mai town, stands out.

Based on the collected documents, in mid-April 2021, the Town Police established a special project to fight and simultaneously carried out many measures to monitor and arrest related subjects. However, this subject is often absent from the area, operating on the move and constantly moving through many provinces and cities, causing difficulties in the fight and arrest.

By mid-June 2021, while deploying many working groups to arrest subjects in the transnational drug ring, through information exchange with the Drug Investigation Police Department, the Ministry of Public Security learned that the unit had just broken up a crystal meth ring in Ho Chi Minh City, in which some subjects in this ring were also the subjects that the Hoang Mai Town Police were pursuing. However, the subjects are currently on the run.

Using professional measures, on June 17, 2021, Hoang Mai Town Police discovered that Tran Quang Tai had just appeared in the locality. However, he was not at his home but went to an acquaintance's house to ask for shelter in order to avoid being arrested by the authorities.

Immediately, the Special Task Force of Hoang Mai Town Police deployed many working groups, quickly approached the subject's hiding place, and suddenly raided and arrested him. Through searching the subject's luggage, they discovered 2 kg of crystal meth, much to the surprise of the homeowner who let Tai stay. In addition, the police also seized 1 car, 1 cell phone and some documents related to the special task force.

It is known that this is a subject in a drug ring that the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department, Ministry of Public Security is investigating, so Hoang Mai Town Police has handed over the subject and evidence to the Department to fight and expand the project./.
