Authorities arrest suspect for repeat property theft in multiple locations.

(Baonghean.vn) - The Quỳnh Lưu District Police Investigation Agency announced that they have recently discovered and arrested a suspect who has repeatedly stolen property in several communes within the district.

Earlier, at around 5:00 AM on July 17th, a patrol team (comprising the District Police and the Quỳnh Thuận Commune Police, Quỳnh Lưu District) spotted a young man matching the description given by residents of a suspect involved in thefts in the area. Observing the suspect's hurried escape and suspicious behavior, the team invited him to the Quỳnh Thuận Commune Police station for questioning.

The suspect, Doan Nhat Nam (born in 1995, residing in Hamlet 11, Quynh Hoa Commune, Quynh Luu District), quickly confessed to committing numerous thefts in the area. At 3:00 AM on July 17, 2015, Nam went to Phu Yen Hamlet, Quynh Thuan Commune, and broke into the home of Mr. Le Dinh Khuong, stealing a Sony phone and a wallet before being apprehended by the police. Prior to that, on the evening of July 7, 2015, Nam broke into the house of Mr. Tran Dai Duong, residing in Hamlet 4, Son Hai Commune, Quynh Luu District, stealing a laptop worth 16 million VND and a Galaxy phone worth approximately 10 million VND. Before that, in Quynh Hau Commune, Nam stole an Ablade motorbike which he used to commit further thefts. A search of the suspect's home in Quynh Hoa Commune resulted in the seizure of another stolen laptop.

It is known that Doan Nhat Nam had a previous conviction for theft and had just been released from prison, but "old habits die hard," and he continued his criminal activities, leading to his arrest by the police.

The Quỳnh Lưu District Police are currently continuing their investigation to clarify the matter; and are also proceeding with the procedures to return the property to the victim.
