Arrest of the subject who stole traffic safety signs and poles
(Baonghean.vn) - Quy Chau District Police arrested a suspect who stole traffic safety signs and poles on Highway 48 and Highway 544 just 24 hours after receiving the report.
On April 27, Quy Chau District Police said they were temporarily detaining Lo Van Hai (born in 1990), residing in Chau Hanh Commune, Quy Chau District, to investigate the act of property theft.

Previously, on April 24, 2023, Quy Chau District Police received a report from Quy Chau Traffic Department that recently on National Highway 48 and Provincial Road 544, the section passing through Chau Hanh Commune, Quy Chau District, bad guys had broken and removed poles and signs.traffic safetywith a total asset value of more than 20 million VND. The subject's behavior has caused outrage among the people, affected security and order in the area and directly affected vehicles during the move.
Determining the seriousness of the incident, immediately upon receiving the report, Quy Chau District Police quickly mobilized forces and focused on investigation and verification measures.
Just 24 hours after receiving the report, on April 25, 2023, Quy Chau District Police clarified and arrested Lo Van Hai for theft of property.

Working with the police, the subject initially confessed that on the night of April 23, 2023, while traveling on National Highway 48 and Provincial Highway 544, because it was dark and there were few people passing by, Hai had the idea of smashing the poles and traffic signs to sell them as scrap and get money for personal use. To commit the crime, Hai used a sledgehammer, cutter, and grinder to cut the traffic sign poles into 3 pieces, put them in bags, and then sell them.
Currently, the case is continuing to be handled in accordance with legal regulations.
