Arrested the subject who stole property worth 800 million at Cam Lai hotel

(Baonghean.vn)- Guests staying at Cam Lai Hotel in Vinh City were broken into and robbed.assets worth more than 800 million dong.

On April 17, 2017, the Criminal Police Department of Nghe An Province Police announced that it had successfully solved a theft case of valuable property in Vinh City, with a total value of more than 800 million VND.

Previously, at 5:00 a.m. on April 12, 2017, according to public information, a theft of property of great value occurred at Cam Lai Hotel in Le Loi Ward. Upon receiving the report, the authorities quickly arrived at the scene to verify and clarify the matter.

The verification process determined that in room 203, Cam Lai Hotel, address 95, Ly Thuong Kiet Street, Vinh City, rented by Mr. NVH residing in Ho Chi Minh City and Ms. LTN residing in Quy Hop District, a thief broke in and stole property, including two mobile phones, 01 men's watch, 01 wallet and 01 Fotuner car with license plate: 37A-29925 parked on the left side of the hotel yard, the total value of the property was up to more than 800 million VND.

Immediately after receiving the report and verifying the victim's information, the authorities quickly deployed work to combat the criminals. Many working groups were sent to the areas and routes to verify and screen the subjects, especially those with criminal records for property theft and suspicious subjects in the area, focusing mainly on Vinh city.

By April 14, 2017, the police identified the perpetrator as Le Hoang Duc (born in 1989), residing in Vinh Thinh Block, Dong Vinh Ward, Vinh City.

This subject has a previous conviction for robbery and theft. At the police station, the subject confessed to all his actions.

Accordingly, at around 10:30 p.m. on April 11, 2017, the subject entered Cam Lai Hotel. When he reached room 203, he noticed that the guest was careless, so he took the aforementioned property and quickly left the hotel.

Currently, the case is being further investigated and clarified by the police.
