Ea H'Leo District Police (Dak Lak) have just issued a decision to prosecute and temporarily detain a young man who hired people to destroy tens of thousands of square meters of natural forest.
On February 15, according to information from Ea H'Leo District Police, this agency has just issued a decision to prosecute and temporarily detain Nguyen Quoc Huy (born 2002, residing in Ea H'Leo commune) to investigate the act of "Forest destruction".

Initial information shows that on January 31, Ea H'Leo District Police received a report of forest destruction occurring in Sub-area 10, managed and protected by the People's Committee of Ea H'Leo Commune.
Upon receiving the information, Ea H'Leo District Police coordinated with relevant agencies to examine the scene, investigate, verify and clarify the above incident.
After a period of investigation, Ea H'Leo District Police arrested Nguyen Quoc Huy.
After being arrested, Huy confessed that from December 26, 2023 to January 13, 2024, he hired 4 people to destroy more than 40,000 square meters of natural forest in the forest area managed by the People's Committee of Ea H'Leo commune, with an estimated damage level of more than 80%.
