Arrest of two sisters wanted for illegal drug trafficking
(Baonghean.vn) - Ngo Thi Xoan and Ngo Thi Hanh were both convicted of illegal drug trafficking. Taking advantage of the lenient policy of temporarily suspending the execution of the sentence because they were raising a child under 36 months old, the two sisters escaped.
On February 1, the Criminal Police Department of the Provincial Police announced that it had just successfully arrested two especially dangerous wanted criminals, two biological sisters: Ngo Thi Xoan (born in 1972, residing in block 15, Cua Nam ward, Vinh city) and Ngo Thi Hanh (born in 1983, residing in hamlet 4, Hung Chinh commune, Vinh city).
These are two "female monsters" with many criminal records related to drugs who were on temporary suspension of sentence when they fled the area.

In April 2017, Ngo Thi Hanh was sentenced to 15 years in prison by the People's Court of Nghe An province for illegally buying and selling 1.1 kg of drugs.
Previously, in March 2017, Ngo Thi Xoan was also arrested after buying 2 heroin cakes from an acquaintance. Xoan brought them home to hide and sell for profit. Xoan was sentenced to life in prison by the Provincial People's Court for illegal drug trafficking. Like her sister, Xoan's sentence was temporarily suspended because she was raising a child under 36 months old.
Taking advantage of the lenient policy of the Party and the State, the two sisters Xoan and Hanh fled the locality. In November 2018, the Criminal Enforcement and Judicial Assistance Police Department issued a wanted notice for Ngo Thi Xoan and Ngo Thi Hanh.
After many months of searching, on January 26, 2019, a working group of the Criminal Police Department of Nghe An Province Police raided a motel in Ho Chi Minh City and successfully arrested Ngo Thi Xoan and Ngo Thi Hanh.
Checking the room, the police seized many documents and luggage, including papers showing that the subjects were preparing to leave for England.
After being extradited to Nghe An, the two sisters Xoan and Hanh were handed over to the competent authorities for handling according to the law.
