Arrest of 3 railway officials for cutting telecommunication cables

(Baonghean.vn) -On the afternoon of February 6, Quynh Luu District Police (Nghe An) announced that the authorities had just arrested 3 subjects who had stolen telecommunications cables.

In recent times, in Quynh Luu district, there have been consecutive cases of theft of telecommunication cables in the communes of Quynh Vinh, Quynh Xuan, Tan Son, Quynh Loc and Hoang Mai town. In this situation, Colonel Pham Van Vinh - Head of the district police established and directed the 213DT project. Through investigation, monitoring and capturing the situation, on the evening of February 5, at Hoang Mai station center, Quynh Luu district police caught 3 subjects: Nguyen Van Luan (born in 1978, in Quynh My commune), Truong Van Giap (born in 1974, in Quynh Loc commune) and Bui Van Phuc (born in 1970, in Quynh Yen commune) stealing telecommunication cables.

All three arrested subjects are Cau Giat railway signal information officers. The subjects confessed that in the past, they had committed 3 thefts in Hoang Mai Town and Quynh Vinh Commune, with 280m of communication cable. The police confiscated 7.4kg of copper, 1 knife, and 1 saw as evidence of the crime. The police are continuing to investigate and clarify the case.
