Authorities seized 3kg of methamphetamine being smuggled from Laos into Vietnam.

On June 24, the Quang Binh Border Guard Command announced that it had coordinated with the anti-drug forces of the Khammouane Provincial Security Department (Laos) to dismantle a drug trafficking ring, seizing 3 kg of methamphetamine (equivalent to 30 blocks of heroin, worth approximately 5 billion VND).

On June 21st, on National Highway 12A, anti-drug forces of the Quang Binh Border Guard and the Khammouane Provincial Security Department apprehended Xom Sa N. and Vi Lay S. (residents of Khammouane province) while they were transporting methamphetamine from Laos to the Cha Lo international border gate (Minh Hoa district, Quang Binh province).

This is reportedly the largest amount of methamphetamine ever transported and traded across the Vietnam-Laos border in Quang Binh province.
