Four individuals arrested for buying and selling 13kg of firecrackers.
(Baonghean.vn) -On January 25, 2013, the Tan Ky District Police arrested four individuals for illegally buying and selling firecrackers.
Through intelligence gathering and local area management, at approximately 7:30 PM in the Cau Sen area of Nghia Dong commune, Tan Ky district, the Economic and Narcotics Crime Investigation Team of Tan Ky District Police discovered and arrested four individuals: Tran Dinh Truong, Vuong Van Tho, Vuong Xuan An, and Nguyen Viet Viet, all residing in Hamlet 10, Nghia Dong commune, who were illegally buying and selling firecrackers. Upon searching the suspects and their vehicles, police found three boxes of firecrackers of Chinese origin hidden in a black bag in Vuong Van Tho's vehicle.
During the initial interrogation, Vuong Van Tho voluntarily surrendered an additional 6 boxes of firecrackers that were hidden at his house. The total weight of the 9 boxes of firecrackers was over 13kg.
Truong and Tho were arrested along with 13kg of firecrackers.
At the police station, the suspects confessed that the fireworks were purchased by Tran Dinh Truong from a man named Khoi in Lang Son for 6 million dong, and then brought back to Tho to resell for profit.
The incident is currently under investigation by the police.
