Among them, Tran The Hung specialized in directly connecting with foreigners to buy drugs in large quantities, then supplying them to domestic drug "retail points".
With the determination to prevent drug smuggling from outside, builddrug-free areaand to concentrate forces and means to eradicate this transnational drug trafficking ring, Vinh City Police reported to the provincial police leadership to establish a special project.

Tran The Hung (born in 1990), residing in Pho Chau town, Huong Son district, Ha Tinh province, is a heavy drug addict who is very sophisticated in illegal drug trafficking. Although he is from another province, Hung often stays at motels and hotels in Vinh city to operate. He often appears and disappears at the border gate area, bordering the border, showing signs of suspicion related to drug law violations.
On December 14, 2024, receiving information that Hung was traveling from Ha Tinh to get drugs from foreigners, the Task Force persistently ambushed and monitored the subject's movements. However, to avoid being monitored by the authorities, the subject was very secretive, frequently changing locations, times, and routes, causing many difficulties for the investigation and clarification. Therefore, in order to successfully capture the subject, not allowing Tran The Hung to take advantage of his familiarity with the terrain to destroy evidence and escape, under the close direction of the Director of the Provincial Police and the Deputy Director, Head of the Investigation Police Agency, the Provincial Police, the Task Force made a meticulous and detailed plan to "take the bait".
Although the weather these days is rainy, windy and very cold, with high determination, the Task Force still persistently waits for the right opportunity to solve the case.
