6,000 poultry and 1,500 smuggled eggs seized on North-South passenger bus
(Baonghean.vn) - Vinh City Police have just handed over 6,000 poultry and 1,500 duck eggs of unknown origin to Vinh City Veterinary Station for handling according to regulations.

Previously, at 11:00 p.m. on October 27, on Tran Phu Street, Vinh City, the Environmental Police Team of Vinh City Police inspected a passenger bus with license plate 75B-011.21 traveling from North to South, driven by Mr. Nguyen Hong Viet (born in 1981, residing in Ward 5, Dong Ha City, Quang Tri Province).
Authorities discovered dozens of plastic crates under the car, containing 6,000 chickens, ducks, and 1,500 balut eggs.

The driver stated that the poultry and duck eggs were transported for hire by a cargo owner in Hanoi to Quang Tri province for delivery to a small trader. At the time of inspection, the driver could not present legal invoices or documents.
All of the above illegally transported goods were recorded and temporarily detained and transferred to Vinh City Veterinary Station for handling according to authority.
