Arrest of former Director of Thanh Hoa Department of Education and Training and a series of officials
The Ministry of Public Security arrested Ms. Pham Thi Hang (former Director of the Department of Education and Training of Thanh Hoa, Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department) and many other officials on charges of violations in bidding.
On July 16, the Ministry of Public Security's Investigation Police Agency prosecuted 9 defendants for violating regulations onBiddingcause serious consequences.
Among them are four former officials of the Department of Education and Training of Thanh Hoa province: Ms. Pham Thi Hang - former Director of the Department of Education and Training of Thanh Hoa province, Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department; Trinh Huu Nghia - Head of the Planning and Finance Department; Nguyen Van Phung - Deputy Head of the Planning and Finance Department and Chief Accountant; Le Van Cuong - Head of the Planning and Finance Department.

The remaining 5 defendants include: Bui Tri Thuc - specialist of the Planning - Finance Department; Nguyen Quoc Viet - appraiser of BTC VALUE Appraisal Joint Stock Company; Le The Son and Vu Thi Ninh - Director and chief accountant of Thanh Hoa School Equipment and Books Company; Ho Thi Sau, Director of Appraisal Block III of BTC VALUE Appraisal Joint Stock Company.

Seven people were detained, and two defendants were ordered to be banned from leaving their place of residence. The decisions and orders were approved by the Supreme People's Procuracy. Currently, the authorities have not announced the defendants' alleged violations.
