Arrest of robbery suspect at jewelry center
After only 15 hours of investigation, at 11:00 a.m. today, August 27, Da Nang City Police arrested Dale James (born in 1996, American nationality), the suspect in the daring robbery at the PNJ Jewelry Center on Nui Thanh Street, Hoa Cuong Ward on the evening of August 26.
According to initial information, Dale James entered Vietnam in early June 2025 and rented an apartment on Pham Tu Street, An Hai Ward, Da Nang City. Before committing the crime, the subject rented a motorbike and removed the license plate to use as a means of transportation.
After committing the robbery, the subject left the scene and moved through many streets before returning to his rented room. Here, the subject hid the evidence and hid to listen. When the police force arrived, the subject tried to escape but was restrained.arrest.

As reported by CAND Newspaper, at 5:50 p.m. on August 26, a daring robbery occurred at the PNJ Jewelry Center (455 Nui Thanh, Hoa Cuong Ward, Da Nang City). The perpetrator was a young man dressed as a Grab driver who attacked the security guard, then went inside, smashed the glass case, took away many pieces of jewelry and fled.
Fearing that the suspect had a weapon, some witnesses did not dare to arrest him. Therefore, the suspect ran a short distance and escaped into the crowded crowd on Nui Thanh Street.
After receiving the incident, the Criminal Police Department of Da Nang Police immediately mobilized forces to investigate and arrest the subject.
