Arrest of subject using knife, fake gun to extort property
Before being arrested, Nghia used a fake plastic gun to extort property, as well as used a knife to force others to borrow money and then took it.

On the afternoon of September 6, a source from the Thua Thien-Hue Provincial Police said that the Criminal Police Department of the Provincial Police had just decided to prosecute the case, prosecute the accused, and temporarily detain Nguyen Ngoc Nghia (born 2001, residing in Vi Da ward, Hue) for the act of extortion.
Initial information from the police, before that, Nghia went to Nhat Ho massage parlor (located in Phu Thuong commune, Phu Vang district, TT-Hue) to demand the amount of 200,000 VND that Nghia thought Mr. Dinh Xuan Rin, an employee of this facility, owed. At that time, Mr. Rin was away, only the owner of the massage parlor, Mr. Phan Minh T. (49 years old) was at home.
When Mr. Phan Minh T. advised Nghia to leave, this subject aggressively took out a black gun from his pocket and threatened the massage parlor owner to pay the debt for Mr. Rin. Fearing for his life, Mr. T. had to go into the house to get money to give to Nghia.
At noon on September 1, when Nghia went to Thuy Duong ward (Huong Thuy town, TT-Hue province) with a group of friends, he was arrested by Thuy Duong ward police in coordination with the Criminal Police Department of TT-Hue police.
Through investigation, the police determined that the gun Nghia used to threaten and extort property was a black plastic imitation gun, similar to the K59 military gun. Nghia's intentional use of an imitation gun to threaten others in order to appropriate property shows signs of criminal offense.
Expanding the investigation, the police also clarified that Nghia had used a knife to threaten and force Hoang Trong Tri (17 years old, residing in Phu Dien commune, Phu Vang district) to take him to a relative's house to borrow money, then appropriated 300,000 VND.
