Arrest of subject buying 6.9 kg of illegal fireworks
(Baonghean.vn) - At 3:00 p.m. on February 8, at Loc Chau apartment complex in block 3, Nghi Huong ward, the Criminal - Economic - Drug Team (Cua Lo Town Police) arrested a subject for illegally purchasing fireworks.
According to initial statements, the subject's name is Ngo Thanh Long, born in 1999, residing in Thanh My commune, Thanh Chuong district.
At around 1:00 p.m. on February 8, Ngo Thanh Long traveled from Vinh city to Cua Lo and bought from a stranger 5 boxes of 36mm mortars, of foreign origin, for 3.5 million VND, weighing 6.9 kg for use.
Currently, Cua Lo town police are continuing to investigate and handle according to the law.
Previously, during the peak campaign to prevent violations related to fireworks during Tet, Cua Lo town police arrested 25 cases, 25 subjects illegally storing fireworks; 17 cases, 17 subjects illegally using fireworks.
