Arrest of subject buying and selling more than 1.5 tons of illegal fireworks
(Baonghean.vn) - With the intention of selling fireworks to make a profit, Luong Van Duong ordered fireworks from other provinces, brought them home to store and found a place to resell them.
On August 2, the Criminal Police Department of Nghe An Province Police said that the unit is temporarily detaining Luong Van Duong (born in 1982), residing in Nghi Thai Commune, Nghi Loc District, to investigate the act of trading in prohibited goods.

Previously, on July 30, 2022, the Criminal Police Department of the Provincial Police presided over and coordinated with the Nghi Thai Commune Police, Nghi Loc District, the Customs Sub-Department and related units to successfully arrest Luong Van Duong, seizing more than 156 kg of various types of foreign-made fireworks. Duong had a previous conviction for murder, was released from prison in 2008 and was also a subject with complex activities in buying and selling fireworks in the area.
At the police station, Luong Van Duong confessed that he had ordered the above fireworks from another province, brought them back to hide, and then found a place to resell them for profit.
Currently, the Criminal Police Department is consolidating the case file and handling the case according to regulations.
