Arrest of subject illegally possessing crystal meth
(Baonghean.vn) - From buying crystal meth for personal use, Nguyen Dinh Hieu switched to retailing this banned substance to have money to satisfy his addiction.
On the afternoon of March 22, the Investigation Police Agency of Nghi Loc District Police announced that the unit had just successfully broken up Project 319D, arresting Nguyen Dinh Hieu (born in 1998), residing in Hamlet 3, Nghi Hop Commune, Nghi Loc District, for illegal possession of drugs.

In early 2019, people reported that in Nghi Hop commune and surrounding areas, there were many people using crystal meth, affecting the security and order situation in the area. Nghi Loc District Police leaders decided to establish Project 319D to investigate and arrest the person supplying drugs to addicts.
Using professional measures, the investigation agency screened and focused on the suspect, Nguyen Dinh Hieu. Hieu was addicted to drugs and had many signs of retailing crystal meth to other addicts.
Through surveillance, on the afternoon of March 20, detectives discovered Hieu riding a motorbike out of his house, possibly to sell crystal meth, so the 319D Task Force decided to crack the case. The subject was arrested by the task force at 5:00 p.m. the same day in Hamlet 2, Nghi Xa Commune. The seized evidence included 1 package of crystal meth, weighing 2 grams, and 1 motorbike with license plate 37K1 - 669.78.
Searching Hieu's house, the investigation agency seized 6 more packages of crystal meth, total weight 23.5 grams, 1 small scale, 1 set of tools for using crystal meth, 2 mobile phones.
At the investigation agency, Hieu confessed to buying the drugs from a person whose name was known but whose address was unknown in Cua Lo town. The subject bought the crystal meth for both his own use and retail sale to other addicts.
Currently, the case is under further investigation.
