Fugitive wanted for 15 years arrested.
The police in Nghi Loc district (Nghe An province) have just arrested Le Thanh Nhung (born in 1960), residing in Nha Trang city, Khanh Hoa province.
This individual has been wanted for 15 years in connection with the case of "Negligence causing serious damage to state property" that occurred in Khanh Hoa province.
Le Thanh Nhung, a nationally wanted fugitive, was wanted by the Criminal Investigation Agency of the Cam Ranh City Police, Khanh Hoa Province, under Decision No. 22, dated July 10, 2009, for the crime of "Irresponsibility causing serious damage to state property."To evade detection by authorities, the suspect employed various tactics such as frequently changing hiding places across multiple locations; avoiding contact with family and relatives, making verification and apprehension difficult."
Through investigative measures, in mid-December 2024, the Nghi Loc District Police determined that Le Thanh Nhung was present in Khanh Hop commune, Nghi Loc district, and deployed a plan to arrest him. On December 19, 2024, Le Thanh Nhung was arrested by the Nghi Loc District Police in Hop Thai hamlet, Khanh Hop commune, Nghi Loc district, Nghe An province.
Currently, the Nghi Loc District Police are holding the suspect in custody for processing according to the law.
