Seized shipment of over 1 billion VND of unknown origin
(Baonghean.vn) - Checking the container truck, the authorities discovered a shipment worth more than 1 billion VND without documents proving its origin.
At around 3:00 a.m. on June 9, on National Highway 1A, through Dien Hong Commune, Dien Chau District, the Criminal Police Department of Nghe An Police presided over and coordinated with the Dien Chau Traffic Police Station 5.1, the Traffic Police Department of Nghe An Provincial Police and the Customs Control Team, Nghe An Customs Department to conduct an administrative inspection of a container truck with license plate 51R - 08.90 running in the North - South direction.

Upon inspection, the authorities discovered that the vehicle was carrying nearly 400 boxes of goods, including household items such as thermoses, hand fans, pots, shoe racks, etc., and toys such as cars, plastic animals, and many types of dangerous toy guns, etc. originating from abroad, with a total estimated value of more than 1 billion VND.
During the investigation, driver Vo Thanh Van (born in 1971, residing in Hoai Xuan, Hoai Nhon, Binh Dinh) could not present any documents related to the origin of the above goods.

Driver Vo Thanh Van confessed to transporting a shipment for a cargo owner from Lao Cai Border Gate to the South for consumption.
The case is currently being handled by the authorities in accordance with the law.
