Arrest of an Inspector for gambling

On the afternoon of December 23, information from Buon Ma Thuot City Police, Dak Lak Province said that they had decided to temporarily detain 9 subjects to investigate the acts of "Gambling" and "Organizing gambling".
Notably, among the 9 detained subjects is Mr. Tran Dinh Hieu (42 years old, an inspector of the Department of Supervision, Inspection and Post-Inspection Handling - Dak Lak Provincial Inspectorate).

According to initial information, on the afternoon of December 21, a working group of the Criminal Police Team, Buon Ma Thuot City Police raided the house of Mr. Bui Xuan Dung (43 years old, Thanh Nhat Ward, Buon Ma Thuot City). Here, the police force caught 9 subjects red-handed organizing gambling and gambling in the form of card games for money.
At the gambling den, the task force also seized tens of millions of dong, 2 decks of cards and many gambling tools. Immediately afterwards, these subjects were taken to Buon Ma Thuot City Police Headquarters for further investigation.
At the police station, Tran Dinh Hieu confessed that he is currently an inspector of the Department of Supervision, Inspection and Post-Inspection Handling - under the Dak Lak Provincial Inspectorate. Bui Xuan Dung confessed that on the morning of December 21, the above subjects came to his house to gamble together. After each game, whoever wins must pay Mr. Dung from 10,000 VND to 20,000 VND.
The case is currently under investigation.
