Young man arrested for illegally trading explosives

At 9:30 p.m. on November 17, 2019, in Hop Thanh commune, Yen Thanh district (Nghe An), on patrol, Yen Thanh district police caught Dinh Van Tuan (born in 1994), residing in Nam Thanh commune, Yen Thanh district, for illegally buying and selling explosives.

At the time of arrest, Tuan was driving a motorbike with license plate 37P1 - 187.65 with a plastic bottle containing explosives and 4 pieces of slow-burning wire connected to a detonator in the trunk. Tuan took all of the explosives to sell to a stranger in the area.

Expanding the investigation, at 10 p.m. the same day, Yen Thanh District Police conducted an emergency search of Dinh Van Tuan's residence. There, the police seized 3 plastic bottles containing explosives weighing 1.5 kg and 28 slow-burning wires that Tuan had hidden on the TV shelf, behind the bed and behind the speaker.
At the investigation agency, Dinh Van Tuan admitted his crime and stated that he bought each bottle of explosives for 200,000 VND and sold them to those in need for 1 million VND, along with detonators and slow-burning fuses. For those who wanted to buy mines, Tuan would manufacture mines and sell them at a higher price.
An investigator said that Tuan is currently raising a young child and his wife left him a long time ago.
Currently, Yen Thanh District Police are criminally detaining Dinh Van Tuan to continue investigating and handling according to the provisions of law.
