Man arrested for illegally manufacturing firecrackers in Nghe An.

On December 26, 2024, a task force from the Department of Criminal Investigation of Corruption, Economic Crimes andsmuggleThe presiding officer, in coordination with the police of Binh Hop commune, Tan Ky district (Nghe An province), arrested Pham Van Tam (born in 1984), residing in Hamlet 5, Binh Hop commune, for the illegal possession and production of firecrackers.
The seized items included 3 sets of fireworks with 9 explosive firecrackers each; 9 sets of fireworks with 49 explosive firecrackers each; 1 homemade firecracker string; 42 homemade firecrackers; 4 bags of homemade firecracker balls, totaling 55 kg of explosive firecrackers; 2 kg of explosives; 5.4 meters of homemade slow-burning fuse; and various materials and tools used to manufacture fireworks.
At the investigative agency, the suspect confessed that since April 2024, Pham Van Tam had been buying fireworks from abroad for personal use. Prior to that, in March 2024, he researched how to make firecrackers online, then ordered the raw materials to make gunpowder and manufactured firecrackers for use during holidays and Tet (Lunar New Year).
The case is currently under further investigation and expansion to be handled in accordance with the law.
