Seized large quantity of fake, poor quality fertilizers

(Baonghean.vn) -Nghe An Police Department's Investigation Police Force on Economic Management Order and Official Positions has just discovered and arrested a large quantity of poor quality fertilizer that a subject was preparing to sell to people in mountainous districts of Nghe An.

In early August 2013, the Police Department received a report that a person from Do Luong was selling fake fertilizers labeled Viet My fertilizer to people in mountainous districts of Nghe An. The police force stepped in to investigate and clarify. At 9:30 p.m. on August 21, at Vinh Son market, Do Luong district, the Anti-smuggling Team (Department of Criminal Police on Economic and Official Management, Provincial Police) discovered a truck with license plate 37S-0091 owned by Le Thi Huong (born in 1978), residing in Thai Son commune, Do Luong, loading 193 bags of 25kg Viet My NPK fertilizer suspected to be fake. At the scene, the police force seized more than 5,000 unused packages of Viet My fertilizer.

At the investigation agency, Le Thi Huong stated that because she realized that people in mountainous districts preferred Viet My fertilizer for use in farming, she came up with the idea of ​​making illegal money by buying low-quality multi-micronutrient fertilizers at cheap prices and then using the packaging of Viet My fertilizer to make a profit 5 times more.

Currently, the authorities are taking fertilizer samples for testing to have a basis for handling.
