Arrest of vehicle transporting smuggled goods

(Baonghean) -At 11:00 a.m. on June 22, while on patrol duty at Km 708 of Ho Chi Minh Road in Khai Son Commune, Anh Son District, Nghe An, through information provided by the people, a working group of Traffic Police Team No. 3, Nghe An Traffic Police Department inspected and arrested a passenger car traveling from the South to the North transporting smuggled goods.

Car with license plate 53N-3907 was driven by Truong Tan Duc (born in 1961 - permanent resident of group 22, area 4, Le Hong Phong ward, Quy Nhon city, Binh Dinh).

Upon inspection, the vehicle was found to contain 683 plastic water guns of various types and battery guns, and 2,500 packs of foreign cigarettes branded 555, manufactured abroad without documents. Upon investigation, the driver confessed that the 683 guns belonged to Duc and were being transported for sale, while the 2,500 packs of foreign cigarettes belonged to Dang Thi Kim Thu (born in 1955, permanent resident of Group 40, Area 8, Tran Hung Dao Ward, Quy Nhon City, Binh Dinh Province) who hired Duc to transport them.

Currently, the working group has completed the file, transferred the person and evidence to Anh Son District Police for further investigation.
