Every time she possessed the “Saint” she gave the homeowner four yellow bottles and medicinal pills. When secretly checking the “holy water” and “miracle medicine” that the saints sold to the people after each ritual and possession, the detectives discovered that this was just a brackish water contained in a CO2 bottle that had no medicinal properties, and the “miracle medicine” was actually just turmeric powder rolled into balls.
Two subjects, one male and one female. The female calls herself “Saintess”, the man is a “colleague” who helps the saint. Every time someone invites them, the two subjects often come to the homeowner’s house to choose the time to “go into a trance” late at night to exorcise evil spirits. Up to now, many gullible people have had their property stolen by these scammers.
Through the monitoring process, it was known that on the evening of February 28, the "saints" would come to the exorcism ceremony at the family of Mr. Ngo Van D in Dien Kim commune, Dien Chau district. When the saint was in a trance, giving medicine and collecting money, the authorities raided and arrested her.
At the investigation agency, the "Saint" confessed that her name was Nguyen Thi Loan (born in 1963), residing in Quynh Tho commune, Quynh Luu district. Her colleague was Luu Van Hoang (born in 1958).
Currently, the case is being further investigated by Dien Chau District Police to clarify and strictly handle the subjects according to the provisions of the law.
