Arrested two people who stole money from boat owners
Pretending to be security officers, Son and Dong forced each ship and boat passing by on the Da Bac River, Thuy Nguyen district, to pay 50,000-200,000 VND.
The Investigation Police Agency of Thuy Nguyen District Police has just initiated a case.prosecuteaccused, temporarily detained Vu Van Dong (37 years old, Lai Xuan commune) and Do Van Son (30 years old, Quang Thanh commune, Thuy Nguyen district) to investigate the behaviorrobbery, according to Clause 2, Article 168, Penal Code.

According to the investigation agency, since 2014, Dong, who claimed to be a "security officer", and Son have been running boats to collect fees from boats traveling or anchoring on the Da Bac River, which flows through Lai Xuan and Lien Khe communes, Thuy Nguyen district. Depending on the tonnage of the boat, the two suspects demanded a payment of 50,000 - 200,000 VND.
Receiving the victims' reports, Thuy Nguyen District Police, after collecting enough evidence, arrested Dong and Son. Dong had a previous conviction for harming the health of others, and Son had a previous conviction for intentionally causing injury.
