Arrested the mastermind of a transnational drug ring, seized another 10,000 drug pills hidden under a tree
(Baonghean.vn) - A large-scale transnational drug trafficking ring has just been dismantled by the Drug Investigation Police Department of Nghe An Province in coordination with related professional units, arresting 4 subjects, seizing 4kg of crystal meth and 10,000 MTTH pills.
Previously, through professional work, the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department of Nghe An Province Police discovered a drug trafficking ring.transnational drug traffickingfrom Laos to Nghe An and then transported to the southern provinces for consumption.
Taking measures to combat, at 10:45 a.m. on January 4, at National Highway 7A, section in Hamlet 1, Hoa Son Commune, Anh Son District, the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department of Nghe An Police and Anh Son District Police co-chaired, coordinated with Do Luong District Police, Phuc Son Border Guard Station, Nam Can International Border Gate Customs Branch to break up a drug case, caught red-handed Bui Duc Anh (born in 1995), residing in Hamlet 1, Hoa Son Commune, Anh Son District for illegal drug trafficking, seized 04 plastic bags containing white crystalline substance (crystal meth) weighing 04 kg.

Expanding the case, the police force arrested two more subjects: Tran Van Mai (born 1997) and Le Van Tham (born 2002), both residing in Hoa Son commune, Anh Son district.
From the suspects' statements combined with professional measures, the Investigation Committee has clearly grasped information about the "boss" leading this transnational drug trafficking ring.
On January 6, 2022, at Dong An 2 quarter, Binh Hoa ward, Thuan An city, Binh Duong province, the Drug Investigation Police Department of Nghe An police coordinated with the Drug Investigation Police Department of Binh Duong province to detain and conduct an emergency search of Ho Sy Tinh (born in 1996), residing in Thach Son commune, Anh Son district. Tinh is an important link, the mastermind, directly directing Bui Duc Anh, Tran Van Mai and Le Van Tham to carry out illegal drug trafficking.

In addition to the 4 kg of crystal meth previously seized by the police, Tinh also hid another shipment at a location in Bung village, Mon Son commune, Con Cuong district. Before he could make the transaction, Tinh and his accomplices were arrested.
On January 7, 2022, the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department coordinated with the Police of Anh Son and Con Cuong districts and the Border Guard Station of Mon Son commune to search for the remaining drugs that Tinh declared. After a period of searching, the police force seized 10,000 MTTH pills carefully wrapped and buried under a tree on the inter-village road in Bung village, Mon Son commune, Con Cuong district.
The case is currently under further investigation.
