On January 5, Anh Son District Police, Nghe An Province, said that the unit is temporarily detaining Phan Viet Dai (born 1993), residing in Dien Ky Commune, Dien Chau District, to investigate the act of "Fraudulent appropriation of property".
Previously, on December 15, 2021, Anh Son District Police received a criminal complaint from Ms. NTH residing in Anh Son District, accusing Phan Viet Dai (born in 1993), residing in Dien Ky Commune, Dien Chau District, of using a fake "red book" and car registration to defraud Ms. H. of VND 840 million.

Through professional measures, after many days of active investigation, Anh Son District Police initiated a criminal case and prosecuted Phan Viet Dai for fraud and property appropriation. On January 3, 2022, the Investigation Police Agency executed an arrest warrant and detained Phan Viet Dai.
Through the investigation, the Police Agency clarified that from February 2021 to August 2021, Dai created himself as an educated person with many valuable assets, from which he approached Ms. H. After gaining Ms. H's trust, Dai gave reasons such as needing money to buy a car, buy land, reverse bank deeds, mortgage assets, from which he defrauded and appropriated Ms. H's assets for the amount of 77 million VND.
Currently, the police force is continuing to investigate and clarify the remaining amount of 763 million VND and the act of "Forgery or use of fake documents of agencies and organizations"./.
