(Baonghean.vn) - After a period of investigation into tax evasion by Tam Oanh Forestry Products Import-Export Trading Company Limited, located in Hamlet 6, Dien Thinh Commune, Dien Chau District, on the morning of July 30, the Criminal Investigation Department for Economic and Official Crimes (PC46) of the Nghe An Provincial Police conducted an urgent search of the private residence of Cao Duc Tam (born in 1968) and Hoang Thi Oanh (born in 1971), the Director and Deputy Director of this company.

Through intelligence gathering, the Economic Crime Investigation and Management Department of the Nghe An Provincial Police, in coordination with other functional agencies, discovered many businesses in the province showing signs of tax evasion, especially in the timber trading sector. Among these, Tam Oanh Timber Import-Export Trading Company Limited, located in Hamlet 6, Dien Thinh Commune, Dien Chau District, stands out.

At approximately 7:30 AM on July 30th, officers from the Economic and Official Crimes Investigation Department of the Nghe An Provincial Police discovered a 7-seater car and a motorbike carrying numerous documents and ledgers leaving the private residence of the couple Tam and Oanh. They immediately intervened and apprehended the suspects. Checking the home security camera footage revealed that in the early morning, Hoang Thi Oanh had instructed employees and domestic helpers to take company ledgers and documents out of the house and hide them elsewhere. Some documents were taken to the company's nearby woodworking factory to be burned; investigators discovered and seized the remaining documents. Due to this act of destroying evidence and documents, Colonel Nguyen Xuan Thiem, Head of the Economic and Official Crimes Investigation Department of the Nghe An Provincial Police, issued an urgent arrest warrant for Hoang Thi Oanh.

Later that same day, Hoang Thi Oanh, along with the seized and sealed ledgers and documents, was taken to the headquarters of the Provincial Police Investigation Agency for further investigation.
