Emergency arrest of the leader of a drug trafficking ring of more than 570 kg
The investigation agency has just issued an emergency arrest warrant for Wu HeShan (born in 1963, Chinese nationality), the leader of a drug trafficking ring that transported and traded more than 570 kg of drugs.
On March 28, Lieutenant Colonel Ngo Thanh Binh - Deputy Director of the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department - C04, Ministry of Public Security, said that he had urgently arrested Wu HeShan (56 years old, Chinese nationality) to investigate the act of illegal drug trafficking and transportation.
When arrested, Wu HeShan denied all his actions, causing many difficulties for the investigation agency. "However, many evidences and documents show that he was the leader of the drug ring that was arrested on March 20 in Binh Tan district, Ho Chi Minh City," said Mr. Binh.

Previously, on the afternoon of March 20, C04 successfully dismantled Project 218LP, arrested 11 suspects (8 Chinese suspects, 3 Vietnamese suspects), and seized 300 kg of drugs in Binh Tan District (HCMC).
According to Lieutenant Colonel Ngo Thanh Binh, the 300 kg shipment of crystal meth was being prepared by this gang to be exported to Taiwan, with a value of 600 billion VND.
In addition to more than 300 kg of drugs seized in Ho Chi Minh City on March 20, this ring also organized extremely large drug trafficking cases into Vietnam, which were seized by authorities in October 2018 and February 2019 with a total of more than 600 kg of synthetic drugs.
On the afternoon of March 26, C04 decided to prosecute the case and prosecute the accused: Huang Zai Wen (56 years old, Chinese nationality), Thao A Do (37 years old, from Dien Bien), Thao No Pao (45 years old, from Dak Nong) and Ly A Vu (32 years old, from Dak Nong).

The four suspects were all directly selected by Wu Heshan. Among them, Huang Zai Wen was a fellow countryman and also the boss's most trusted subordinate.
Expanding the investigation, the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department in coordination with the Philippine Police discovered and seized an additional 276 kg of crystal meth in Manila (Philippines).
Currently, authorities are expanding their investigation into this drug ring.
