Man with tattoos arrested for assaulting a woman in Hanoi.
Hanoi City Police have issued an urgent arrest warrant for Dang Chi Thanh, the tattooed man who assaulted a woman in the lobby of an apartment building, to investigate his actions of "disturbing public order".
On the afternoon of August 10th, the Investigation Police Department of Hanoi City Police issued an arrest warrant and placed Dang Chi Thanh (born in 1994, residing in Phuong Liet Ward, Hanoi) under temporary criminal detention for investigation into the act of "Disturbing public order.
Earlier that morning, the Phuong Liet Ward Police summoned the man who appeared in the video clip, repeatedly assaulting a woman in the elevator lobby of the Sky Central apartment building (176 Dinh Cong, Phuong Liet Ward). The suspect was identified as Dang Chi Thanh, a resident of the building.
According to the report from the family of the victim NT (born in 1997), at approximately 10:35 PM on August 9th, in the elevator lobby area, Ms. T. was suddenly attacked by an unknown man who repeatedly struck her on the head, face, and stomach, causing her to panic and sustain injuries.
Immediately after the incident, Ms. T. was taken to Bach Mai Hospital for examination and fortunately only suffered minor injuries. Upon receiving the information at approximately 0:00 on August 10th, the Phuong Liet Ward Police arrived at the scene and seized all data from the security camera system.
Footage shows an argument between Ms. T. and Thanh, after which the suspect suddenly launched a series of attacks, despite attempts by security guards and bystanders to intervene. Initial investigations determined that the incident stemmed from a prior personal conflict between the two.
Hanoi City Police are consolidating the case file and will strictly handle the hooliganistic behavior and disregard for the law displayed by the suspect.
