13 subjects detained for using weapons to disturb public order
The Investigation Police Agency of Nghe An Province Police has issued a decision to temporarily detain 13 subjects residing in Vinh City and Nghi Loc District for the crime of “Disturbing public order and Intentionally damaging property”. These are 13 out of 18 subjects arrested on April 14.

Previously, to resolve the conflict, on the evening of April 13, 3 groups with 18 subjects, including 5 subjects under 16 years old, residing in Vinh city and Nghi Loc district, used homemade alcohol guns, slingshots and swords to chase each other on the streets of Nghi Huong ward and Thu Thuy ward, Vinh city. During the chase, the subjects used alcohol guns to shoot iron pellets, breaking a glass panel of a restaurant. The behavior of the above subjects caused panic and fear among the public, negatively affecting the security and order situation in the area.
The Criminal Police Department of Nghe An Police coordinated with the professional department and the local ward police to conduct a crime scene investigation and isolate groups of suspects who committed the above crimes of disturbing public order and intentionally damaging property.

Using professional measures, within less than 24 hours of receiving the case, on April 14, the Criminal Police Department of Nghe An Police presided over and coordinated with the police of Nghi Huong and Nghi Tan wards (Vinh City) and the police of Nghi Phong, Nghi Hung and Quan Hanh town (Nghi Loc District) to simultaneously arrest 18 subjects of the above 3 groups for the acts of "Disturbing public order and Intentionally damaging property".
During the process of arresting the groups, the authorities confiscated and temporarily detained: 3 homemade alcohol guns, 2 slingshots, 1 plastic bottle containing iron ball bullets, 4 swords, and 4 motorbikes.
At the Nghe An Provincial Police Investigation Agency, the subjects admitted their crimes. Currently, the Nghe An Provincial Police Investigation Agency has issued a decision to temporarily detain 13 subjects for the crime of "Disturbing public order and Intentionally damaging property" and continues to verify and arrest the remaining subjects involved in disturbing public order for handling according to the law.
