Prosecuted 17 subjects for disturbing public order and trading and storing prohibited goods
Hoang Mai Town Police have just successfully broken up a case, arrested and prosecuted 17 subjects for the following acts: disturbing public order; trading and storing prohibited goods; confiscating more than 230 kg of firecrackers and more than 2,500 packs of foreign-made cigarettes.
Previously, on November 28, 2024, the Town Police received a case of disturbing public order at a karaoke bar in Quynh Thien ward and investigated and identified 6 related subjects; including Ho Nhu Duc (born 2006), residing in Quynh Vinh commune, Hoang Mai town.
Through investigation, Duc confessed that in addition to participating in the above disturbance, he and a number of others committed the act of setting off fireworks on the evening of November 25, 2024 at a wedding in Quynh Vinh commune, including Vu Quang Huy (born 2006), residing in the same area.

Determined to clarify the source of fireworks entering Hoang Mai town, from Vu Quang Huy's testimony, the Investigation Police Agency identified Nguyen Dinh Ngoc (born in 1991), residing in Quynh Xuan ward, as the person who supplied fireworks to Huy.
Searching Ngoc's residence, the police seized 5 cakes of various types of fireworks. Based on Ngoc's testimony, the police urgently searched the residence of Ho Trong Phat (born in 1995), residing in Quynh Xuan ward, and seized 4 cakes of various types of fireworks.
Identifying this as a firecracker trafficking, transportation, and storage ring involving many subjects inside and outside the area, Hoang Mai Town Police continued to concentrate forces and use synchronous professional measures to expand the fight.
On November 30, 2024, the Investigation Police Agency issued an Emergency Detention Order and an Emergency Search Order for the residence of Ho Van Tung (born in 1991), residing in Quynh Van commune, Quynh Luu district.
During the investigation, Tung confessed to being an important “link” in the firecracker trafficking and transportation ring led by Ho Van Dung (born in 1993), residing in Quynh Van commune, Quynh Luu district. Hoang Mai town police have established a special project to focus on investigating and arresting the remaining suspects.

On December 8, 2024, the Investigation Police Agency of the Town Police issued an Emergency Detention Order and an Emergency Search Order for Ho Van Dung's residence, seizing 19 fireworks of various types. Dung confessed that in addition to selling fireworks to the above subjects, he also sold them to Nguyen Huu Manh (born in 1993), residing in Quynh Van and Tran Luong Tien (born in 1985), residing in Doi Cung ward, Vinh city.
On the same day, the Investigation Police Agency issued an Emergency Detention Order and an Emergency Search Order for the residences of Nguyen Huu Manh and Tran Luong Tien, seizing 24 cakes of various types of fireworks.
From Manh's testimony, the Investigation Police Agency continued to issue an Emergency Detention Order and an Emergency Search Order for the residence of Ho Ba Viet (born in 1994), residing in Quynh Xuan ward, seizing 15 fireworks of various types.
Continuing to fight with Ho Van Dung, the subject confessed that since mid-2024 he had known Nguyen Thi Dan (born in 1965), the owner of the "Kim Anh" establishment (trading in Thai goods) at Song intersection, Cam Lo district, Quang Tri province, and had bought more than 100kg of firecrackers from Dan.

On December 9, 2024, Hoang Mai Town Police arrested and urgently searched the residence of Nguyen Thi Dan in Thanh An Commune, Cam Lo District, Quang Tri Province; confiscated 63 fireworks of various types and 2,527 packs of foreign-made cigarettes.
From Dan's testimony, continue to arrest Ho Thi Ni (born 2007), residing in Huong Hiep commune, Dakrong district, Quang Tri province, an accomplice of Nguyen Thi Dan.
Currently, the Investigation Police Agency of Hoang Mai Town Police has prosecuted 17 subjects related to the acts of: disturbing public order; trading and storing prohibited goods; confiscating 130 cakes of various types of firecrackers with a total weight of 230.8 kg and 2,527 packs of foreign-made cigarettes.
