Emergency arrest of 8 more people in the ring of counterfeiting 200 million liters of gasoline
The Criminal Police Department has just arrested 8 more suspects related to a ring that counterfeited more than 200 million liters of gasoline at sea.
Busting a huge fake gasoline ring, seizing 100 billion in cash
500 criminal, mobile, and economic police have just surrounded and caught dozens of people mixing fake gasoline, confiscating more than 100 billion VND and many other exhibits.
Previously, on February 6, Dong Nai Provincial Police arrested 26 subjects in the ring.counterfeit gasolineled by Phan Thanh Huu (born 1957, residing in Ho Chi Minh City) and Nguyen Huu Tu (born 1966, residing in Vinh Long).
On February 9, Ms. Pham Ngoc Thanh (born 1975, from Dong Thap), Tu's "minor wife" was also arrested.

Thus, up to this point, the police have arrested 35 subjects to expand the investigation of the case.
This fake gasoline ring, led by Phan Thanh Huu and Nguyen Huu Tu, has been operating since August 2020, selling more than 200 million liters of gasoline to the market.
Based on intelligence sources, on February 6, more than 500 police officers from Dong Nai Provincial Police coordinated with the Criminal Police Department and professional units of the Ministry of Public Security to urgently search warehouses, gas stations, offices and residences of the subjects in Dong Nai, Can Tho, Vinh Long, Long An, Vung Tau and Ho Chi Minh City. The subjects were caught red-handed while buying, selling, mixing, pumping and transporting fake gasoline on the Hau River.
The Dong Nai Provincial Police Department has initiated a case of "smuggling", "manufacturing and trading of counterfeit goods" and "illegally buying and selling invoices and documents for state budget payments".
