Woman arrested for using 10 billion VND to lend money to people with high interest rates
(Baonghean.vn) - Phan Thi Minh used 10 billion VND to lend to local people with interest rates of 3,000 - 5,000 VND/1 million VND/day.
Anh Son District Police in coordination with PC02 Department, Nghe An Provincial Police have just broken up Project 420N, related to loan sharking activities in civil transactions in the area.
Receiving a complaint from the people about Phan Thi Minh (born in 1965), residing in residential group 4, Anh Son town, having loan sharking activities, the Investigation Police Agency of Anh Son District Police verified the source of information and established Project 420N to fight.

On August 6, Anh Son District Police coordinated with PC02 Department of Nghe An Provincial Police to crack Project 420N and arrest Phan Thi Minh for lending at high interest rates in civil transactions.
During the search, the authorities seized many documents and papers containing information and documents related to usury. The collected documents showed that the subject used 10 billion VND to lend to local people at interest rates of 3,000 - 5,000 VND/1 million VND/day.
Initially, it was clarified that Phan Thi Minh lent 7 people 1.1 billion VND, illegally profiting more than 400 million VND.
Currently, PC02 Department of Nghe An Provincial Police in coordination with Anh Son District Police are focusing on consolidating evidence documents to handle according to the law.
