Arrest of suspect in massacre in Bat Xat district, Lao Cai

On the evening of September 4, Mr. Hoang Dang Khoa, Chairman of the People's Committee of Bat Xat district (Lao Cai province) confirmed that the authorities had arrested the main suspect in the massacre of 4 people in this locality that occurred nearly a month earlier.

The Chairman of the People's Committee of Bat Xat district said that at around 8:00 p.m. on September 4, after nearly a month of ambush, the police force arrested the suspect in the case, Tan Lao Lo (24 years old), who lives in the same village as the victims.

The suspect has been transferred to the detention room of Bat Xat district police to serve the investigation.

Nearly a month ago, on the evening of August 9, in Phin Ngan village, Trinh Tuong commune, Bat Xat district, a tragic incident occurred when a bad guy broke into the house and murdered Tan Ong Nai's wife, Tan Ta May (born in 1994); his eldest daughter, Tan Mai Phuong (born in 2014); his 28-day-old daughter (unnamed) and his niece, Tan Thuy Chi (born in 2010).

After the incident, suspect Tan Lao Lo (24 years old) left his residence.
