Arrest of suspect of molesting two children

On April 14, Long My Town Police, Hau Giang Province temporarily detained Mr. Truong Van Nhut (62 years old, residing in Long Thanh 1 Hamlet, Long Phu Commune, Long My Town) for 2 months to investigate the act of "child molestation".

According to the investigation results, on the afternoon of March 19, 2014, on his way home from farming, Mr. Nhut stopped by the house of a neighbor living in the same commune to see how to install a water pump motor.

When he saw his niece (born in 2002), the homeowner's daughter, home alone, Mr. Nhut touched the girl's sensitive body parts and told her not to tell her family.

Then, Mr. Nhut grabbed the child's hand and pulled her into the bedroom, but the girl struggled and escaped.

In early November 2016, Mr. Nhut continued to commit similar acts with another girl (born 2005) living in the same commune.

Following the people's complaints, the police have investigated and temporarily detained Mr. Nhut. The case is still under investigation.
