Surprise: Real held to a draw by a third-tier team at home at the Bernabeu
Fuenlabrada drew 2-2 in the second leg of their Copa del Rey last-32 tie, but were eliminated 2-4 on aggregate.
Goals: Borja Mayoral 63', 70' - Luis Milla 25', Alvaro Suarez 89'
Fielding a largely young squad and not in top form, Real struggled against Fuenlabrada in the second leg. The visitors had an early chance to score when the number 11 shot went over the bar in the fifth minute.
In the ninth minute, Real continued to be lucky when Fuenlabrada's number 9 player escaped into the open space and fired a cross-angle shot that bounced off goalkeeper Keylor Navas' hand.
Under constant pressure, the Bernabeu team finally had to pick the ball out of the net in the 25th minute. From a situation where the ball bounced back after a corner kick, Luis Milla fired a shot from 25 meters, causing the ball to bounce off Navas' hand and into the net.

Real had a few attacks in response, but could not find an equalizer as quickly as they wanted. Things only changed when coach Zinedine Zidane sent Gareth Bale on in the 61st minute.
Bale shone in his first attack. The Welsh star flicked the ball with his left foot, allowing Borja Mayoral to head the ball off the crossbar and into the net to tie the score at 1-1.
Real's second goal also had Bale's contribution. The winger, who had just recovered from injury, stole the ball and shot it past the opposing goalkeeper, creating conditions for Borja Mayoral to rush in and score the second goal to increase the score to 2-1.
Fuenlabrada made an effort to attack in the final minutes of the match and equalized at 2-2. Alvaro Suarez was the one who scored when he fired two consecutive shots to defeat Navas.
With a 2-0 win in the first leg away from home, Real advanced 4-2 on aggregate. The organizers will draw the pairs for the King's Cup round of 16 after the full list of qualified teams is known.
