Surprised by the reason America has not destroyed IS
600 IS gunmen and many top leaders are being surrounded by the US but have not been eliminated, the reason revealed is quite surprising.
Information from the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) said that the last area controlled by the self-proclaimed Islamic State terrorist organization IS in Eastern Syria was only a village called Baghuz with an area of 4 square kilometers.
Currently, IS is holding out here with about 600 gunmen and many high-ranking leaders, however this force does not have heavy weapons.
In addition, SOHR said the US military and the Syrian Democratic Forces have blocked all the entrances and exits to this village. They isolated and surrounded all IS fighters inside. SOHR also assessed that there was no civilian presence in the village.

However, the reason why the US-SDF coalition has not yet leveled Baghuz village is because IS here is still keeping secret about 40 tons of gold. This amount of gold was stolen by the terrorist group from treasuries they previously controlled, or from smuggling of antiquities and oil.
According to SOHR's report on February 12, the US military has set a condition that if IS fighters abandon their fighting positions and hand over all the gold, the US military will open a retreat route for IS fighters. In addition, the commanders will be taken to an undisclosed safe location.
This is the latest information about why the US has not ended the campaign in the village of Baghuz. Previously, there was information from the Syrian army that the US and IS had an agreement to bring IS leaders away from the battlefield.
According to information from General Mohammad Issa of the Syrian state army, Washington and IS have reached an agreement, according to which the gunmen will be evacuated to a safe place or allowed to return to each locality and turn into sleeper cells to wait for another opportunity to rebel.
