Previously, on the morning of July 8, 2021, Anh Son District Police received a report from the family of Mr. Le Xuan Manh, residing in Hamlet 2, Linh Son Commune, that his family had just had a thief break into their house and steal 8 taels of 9999 gold, worth about 36 million VND. This was all the wedding gold that Mr. Manh and his wife had saved up for a long time.

Immediately after receiving the information, the Investigation Police Agency of Anh Son District Police quickly coordinated with Linh Son Commune Police to conduct a review and set up suspects. After a short time of reviewing and verifying the suspects, using professional measures, the investigation agency identified Dang Anh Tuan (born 2005), residing in Village 2, Linh Son as the perpetrator of the above theft.
However, after committing the crime, Tuan fled and was not present in the locality. The district police working groups deployed to verify and track down Tuan in order to recover the property before he could sell it.
At about 4:00 p.m. on July 8, 2021, Anh Son District Police successfully arrested Dang Anh Tuan and seized 8 taels of gold from Mr. Manh's family.
