Quickly caught the thief on the afternoon of the 30th of Tet
(Baonghean.vn) - Taking advantage of the time when the homeowner was busy worshiping his ancestors, Manh broke into the house, took away many properties worth tens of millions of dong and brought them home with the intention of reselling them to earn money to spend during Tet, but was discovered and arrested.
On February 17, Lieutenant Colonel Tran Phuc Tu, Chief of Tuong Duong District Police, said: Tuong Duong District Police are temporarily detaining Dam Van Manh (born in 1990), residing in Mon village, Thach Giam commune, Tuong Duong district, to investigate and clarify the act of "Theft of property".

Previously, at around 1:00 p.m. on February 14 (afternoon of the 30th of Lunar New Year), the Tuong Duong District Police on duty received a report from Mr. Pham Duc Manh (born in 1980), residing in Lo village, Xa Luong commune (Tuong Duong) about property being stolen at his private home.
Taking advantage of the homeowner's busy year-end day, the thief broke into the house and stole a number of valuable assets, including a handheld video camera, two mobile phones and 100 phone cards, with a total value of about 25 million VND.

Immediately after receiving the report, the District Police deployed forces to the area, conducted an inspection, used synchronous professional measures, and isolated the suspect. At 9:00 p.m. the same day, they arrested and urgently searched Dam Van Manh while he was at his private home. All evidence including 1 handheld video camera, 2 mobile phones and 100 phone cards that the subject had not yet sold were recovered.
At the investigation agency, Dam Van Manh confessed to stealing property to sell for money to spend during Tet. The case is currently being further clarified./.
