Arresting the robbery group 'Association of bankrupt people who like to take risks'
The subjects confessed that through the social network Facebook, they created a group called "Association of bankrupt people who like to take risks" and then invited each other to discuss robbing property.
On the afternoon of January 13, the Investigation Police Agency of Go Dau District (Tay Ninh) arrested: Phan Thanh Minh (born 1986, residing in Gia Lai), Doan Quyet Thang (born 1978, residing in Dong Nai), Cao Van Hiep (born 1977, residing in Tay Ninh) and Nguyen Van Tien (born 1998, residing in Nghe An; temporarily residing in Ho Chi Minh City) to investigate and clarify the act of robbery.
At the police station, the suspects confessed that through the social network Facebook, they created a group called “Club of debtors who like to take risks”. Minh, Hiep, Thang and Tien got to know each other and discussed robbing property. Afterwards, Hiep found houses with property to “inform” Minh, Thang and Tien to use knives to control the victims and rob them of gold, jewelry, money... and then escape.

Typically, on January 11, Hiep observed that Ms. D.TM's house (residing in Thanh Phuoc commune, Go Dau district) had money and gold, so he told Minh, then Hiep stood outside waiting. After that, Minh took a knife and rushed inside to control Ms. M. to rob the money and gold. Ms. M. fought back and shouted, so both of them ran away.
Previously, on December 21, 2024, 4 subjects broke into Ms. HTKL's house in Thanh Phuoc commune, the group used a towel to cover her mouth, used a knife to control her, dragged her into the bathroom, tied her hands and feet, then robbed her of about 250 million VND in money, gold, and jewelry and escaped. After investigation, the police arrested the above subjects.
