Arrested a group of people manufacturing weapons, seized 19 guns and 350 bullets
On March 27, the Criminal Police Department of Binh Duong Police announced that it had just arrested a group of subjects illegally manufacturing, storing and trading military weapons operating on a large scale between provinces.
Recently, through the work of managing the area, the detectives of the Criminal Police Department of Binh Duong Province Police discovered a group of subjects showing signs of illegally buying and selling military weapons on a large scale via social networks in the border areas between Binh Duong Province and Ho Chi Minh City, so they reported to the unit and established a special project to fight.
At about 2:15 p.m. on March 24, 2023, the Special Task Force coordinated with the Traffic Police Department of Binh Duong Police and Tan Uyen Town Police to conduct an administrative inspection and caught Pham Van Minh (born in 2004; from Ho Chi Minh City) in possession of 2 revolver-style guns and 52 bullets while he was traveling on Thuan Giao 9, Thuan Giao Ward, Thuan An City, Binh Duong Province.

Searching Minh's residence at a motel in Tan Quy ward, Tan Phu district (Ho Chi Minh City), the task force seized 14 more revolver-style guns, 300 bullets and many items used to make guns.
Expanding the investigation, the Task Force arrested another suspect, Lam Tan Thinh (born in 1995, from Ho Chi Minh City) and seized at Thinh's residence 1 long gun made to shoot sports bullets, 1 gun styled like a revolver, 1 bullet and 1 long gun styled like a PCP.

At the police station, Pham Van Minh and Lam Tan Thinh admitted to making guns to resell to others for profit. Minh played a major role in making the guns while Thinh painted them. Afterwards, the two posted ads on social media for the guns to sell and looked for buyers.
To date, the Investigation Committee has seized a total of 2 long guns; 17 revolver pistols; more than 350 sports bullets and many tools used to make guns.
