Arrested a group of subjects producing and trading tens of thousands of fake anti-stroke pills

Thanh Hoa City Police have just arrested a group of people who produced and traded fake anti-stroke health protection foods on a large scale, selling goods worth 50 billion VND to the market.

On April 17, Thanh Hoa Provincial Police announced that Thanh Hoa City Police had decided to prosecute the case, prosecute the accused and temporarily detain 8 subjects for the crime of "Producing and trading in counterfeit food products".

The arrested subjects include: Nguyen Thi Thinh (born 1978); Nguyen Lan Huong (born 1984); Tran Anh Cuong (born 1994); Ngo Thi Tu (born 1982); Nong Quang Hai (born 1991); Nhu Thi Minh (born 1991); Pham Van Chien (born 1985), all residing in Hanoi and Trinh Thi Hiep (born 1985), residing in Phu Son ward, Thanh Hoa city.

Police identified Nguyen Thi Thinh as the mastermind behind the counterfeit goods production and trading ring.

Previously, through monitoring, Thanh Hoa City Police discovered a group of suspects involved in the production and trade of counterfeit health food products, so they set up a special project to fight them.

After a period of investigation, on April 4, Thanh Hoa City Police launched a criminal investigation, simultaneously searching 10 locations including the subjects' residences, workplaces, production sites, and places where goods were hidden in Hanoi.

Through the search, the police force seized many products and raw materials to produce counterfeit goods of famous brands, including: More than 4,000 boxes of finished An Cung Vien (box of 10 pills), the value of goods is equivalent to 10 billion VND; 100 boxes of An Cung Nguu Hoang Hoan (box of 60 pills).

In addition, the police seized machinery and materials used to produce and package counterfeit products such as bags, plastic bottles, labels, etc.

At the police station, the suspects confessed that from the beginning of 2023 until their arrest, the group had produced and sold more than 20,000 boxes of fake anti-stroke pills to the market with a value equivalent to about 50 billion VND.
