On the morning of January 11, Ky Son District Police said: The unit has just successfully broken up a case, arrested suspect Ngan Van Thong (born 1992), residing in Dua village, Luong Minh commune, Tuong Duong district for the act ofIllegal drug trafficking.
Through the work of monitoring and grasping the situation, the detectives of Ky Son District Police discovered that in the communes bordering Tuong Duong District, there appeared a number of strange subjects with many suspicious signs related to drugs. They operated very professionally, sophisticatedly, cunningly and recklessly, among which stood out the subject Ngan Van Thong. In particular, they often carried "hot" weapons when making transactions, causing many difficulties in approaching the detectives.

Ngan Van Thong is a long-time drug addict. Refusing to work, he colluded with major drug dealers in Laos to get the “goods” and then brought them back to sell to other dealers.addictsother, making illegal profits. To avoid the authorities, Thong set up a camp deep in the forest in Dua village, Luong Minh commune to hide drugs and conduct drug transactions.
He also showed his cunning and shrewdness by building for himself a number of close addicts as "disciples". Every time he made a transaction, Ngan Van Thong assigned his "disciples" to act as "navigators", and when there was a movement, he would immediately send out a signal or use "hot" weapons to fight back so that Thong could escape.
Faced with the extremely sophisticated and cunning methods and tricks of Ngan Van Thong, Ky Son District Police established a special project.
On January 10, 2021, receiving information that Ngan Van Thong was preparing to conduct a large "goods" transaction, the Task Force (Ky Son District Police) determined that the opportunity to solve the case had come. Elite reconnaissance teams were deployed and quickly went to the locations to lie in ambush.

At about 00:30, January 11, 2021, in the forest area of Dua village, Luong Minh commune, Tuong Duong district, taking advantage of the moment when the group of "disciples" acting as "navigators" were negligent and lost vigilance, the reconnaissance teams of the Special Case Committee (Ky Son District Police) simultaneously rushed in, closed the siege, successfully broke the case, and arrested Ngan Van Thong for illegal drug trafficking.
At the scene, 2,000 synthetic drug pills, 28 grams of heroin, 15 grams of crystal meth, 1 military gun, 6 bullets and some other evidence were seized.
Currently, the Investigation Police Agency of Ky Son District is completing the dossier to handle the subject according to the provisions of law.
