On September 29, information from the Criminal Investigation Police Team on criminal - economic - drug crimes of Ngoc Hoi District Police (Kon Tum Province) said that the unit had just arrested a subject for illegally transporting 6 heroin cakes with a total weight of 2.5 kg.
Previously, at around 5:25 p.m. on September 27, a working group of the Criminal Investigation Police Team on criminal - economic - drug crimes of Ngoc Hoi District Police discovered that Nong Van Lung (40 years old, residing in Ngoc Hai village, Bo Y commune, Ngoc Hoi district), driving a motorbike with license plate 82E1-168.75 traveling from Ngoc Hoi district to Kon Tum city, was acting suspiciously, so they stopped the vehicle for inspection.

Upon inspection, the task force discovered a black plastic bag containing 6 heroin bricks weighing 2.5 kg in the trunk of the car driven by Nong Van Lung. Immediately afterwards, Nong Van Lung was arrested along with the evidence and taken to the headquarters for questioning.
At the police station, Nong Van Lung confessed that he bought the drugs from a person at Bo Y international border gate and brought them to Kon Tum city for consumption. He was discovered and arrested while transporting them.
Currently, Ngoc Hoi District Police have issued a decision to temporarily detain Nong Van Lung and are continuing to investigate and clarify the case.
