Vi Thi Choi has two previous convictions for drug crimes and was released from prison in mid-2019. After being released from prison, due to her lazy nature, Vi Thi Choi refused to find a job and continued to "go back to her old ways", selling drugs for profit. Choi connected and colluded with major drug dealers in Laos to get the "goods".
Choi hid drugs in the rocks and bushes near his farm (which Choi marked with special symbols). Only when he had customers would Choi take out the "goods" to sell. Having been imprisoned twice for drug crimes, Choi showed himself to be a cunning and shrewd fox when he built for himself a number of close addicts as "disciples". Every time he made a transaction, Choi assigned his "disciples" to act as "pilots" and when there was "motion", they would immediately send a signal for Choi to escape.
Faced with the extremely sophisticated and cunning methods and tricks of Vi Thi Choi, to focus on the fight, Ky Son District Police established a special project.

After persistently lying in wait and monitoring Vi Thi Choi's every move, the Task Force received information that Choi would have a large drug transaction. After a meeting, the Task Force determined that this was an opportunity to solve the case and calculated arrest plans.
At around 11:15 a.m. on July 15, at the plantation area in Dua village, Luong Minh commune, Tuong Duong district, the Special Case Committee (Ky Son District Police) coordinated with the Chieu Luu Commune Police to successfully crack the case, arresting Vi Thi Choi for illegal drug trafficking. At the scene, 6,000 synthetic drug pills, 40 grams of heroin and some other evidence were seized.
At the police station, Vi Thi Choi initially confessed to her crime. Choi bought the drugs from a Mong man (unknown background and address) to sell for profit. While making the transaction, she was arrested by the police.
Currently, the Investigation Police Agency of Ky Son District is continuing to investigate and expand the case.
