Border drug lord arrested with 3 guns

On January 10, the Investigation Police Agency of Ky Son District Police announced that the unit had just presided over and coordinated with the Drug Control Team of Nghe An Customs Department to successfully break a case, arresting Gia Chong Nhia (born in 1975, also known as Gia Ba Tung), residing in Pha Lech Phay village, Ky Son district, for illegal drug trafficking.
According to the police, Gia Chong Nhia is the leader of a drug trafficking ring from Laos deep into Ky Son district and other districts for consumption. To arrest Nhia, Ky Son district police have established a special project to fight.

On January 8, the investigation team received information that Nhia had just gone to Laos to buy a large quantity of drugs to conduct a transaction in the Huoi Tu commune area. Judging that the opportunity was ripe, the Task Force decided to crack the case.
At about 1:30 p.m. on January 9, 2020, in the Huoi Dun village area, Huoi Tu commune, when Nhia was driving a motorbike out of the forest, taking advantage of the moment when he was slowing down while going through potholes, the reconnaissance teams of the Special Task Force in coordination with the Drug Control Team of Nghe An Customs Department simultaneously raided and successfully arrested the subject, leaving him unable to react.
At the scene, the Task Force seized 700 synthetic drug pills. Searching the suspect's residence, the Task Force seized an additional 1,000 synthetic drug pills and 3 homemade guns.
The case is currently under further investigation.
